There is a regular ferry service across the harbour entrance, running between Eastney and Hayling Island for foot passengers and bicycles, with bus links to Portsmouth, Hayling Island and Havant. The ferry carries schoolchildren, commuters, and holiday makers across the harbour entrance, saving them a 15 mile drive. The ferry also allows anyone embarking on the Langstone Harbour Waterside Walk to complete their journey successfully, no matter where they begin.
