Kendall Bros of Portsmouth have supplied Marine Aggregates to the construction industry for over 50 years.  The site, comprising some 105 metres of quayside berthing and over four and a half acres of storage area, is located at the head of Broom Channel, toward the north end of the Portsea Island shore. Immediately to the west of the site there is easy road connection to the A27. 

The berth is tidal and is accessible to vessels of up to 4.0 metres draft on most tides.  Vessels discharging on a single tide generally arrive at HW –1 hour and depart at HW +2 hours.  There is a minimum depth alongside of +0.5 metres (CD) and vessels of up to 80 metres length can be turned in the turning basin adjacent to the quay.  Crane facilities for discharge of bulk and break bulk cargoes are available. 

BEDHAMPTON WHARF

Solent Aggregates, Bedhampton Wharf, Harts Farm Way, Havant

Bedhampton Wharf, lying close to Havant in the north of the harbour, is operated by Solent Aggregates.  The site comprises over four and a half acres and is served by a 70-metre quay.  Part of the berth dries at low water and vessels up to 4.0 metres draft discharge between HW –1 hour and  HW +1 hr 30min.  There is limited turning area off the berth for vessels over 50 metres.
