There is good access to the Harbour by road, public transport, on foot and by sea. Roads lead off the A27 onto Portsea and Hayling Islands and to the car parks and slipway at Broadmarsh to the north of the harbour. There are large car parks at either side of the harbour entrance near to the public slipways.

A there is a regular ferry service across the harbour entrance, running between Eastney and Hayling Island for foot passengers and bicycles with bus links to Portsmouth, Hayling Island and Havant. There is a footpath along much of the shore and the Harbour Board are promoting a circular walk of about 14 miles around the entire shoreline using the ferry to complete the route (see environment pages).

The ferry is operated by Edwards & Co. who can be contacted on:  023 9248 2868 or 07702 928154
