Langstone Harbour Board Data Processing

This notice explains how information about you, the boat owner and our customer, is used. We are the data controller (Controller) and we use Viking Systems Limited (which is a company registered and situated in the UK) (HA) as a sub-contracted data processor to provide Harbour Assist Software (Software) to us to enable us to perform our contract with you in relation to your use of our moorings/marina/port facilities (Services). This means that we provide the data you supply to us to HA.

The information
We will require you to provide us with information including your name, contact details, and details of your boat. We or HA may gather information from other public sources of data in order to facilitate the provision of the Services. The data that is used is not intended to include sensitive personal data.

Information about third parties
Information we or HA process as described in this notice may also include information about third parties such as your crew members whose details you supply to us.

Systems used to process data
We (or HA) input the data into the Software. HA in turn use a third party (Microsoft) to host the Software which is situated on a Microsoft Azure platform (Ireland). Please see HA privacy notice at (www.harbourassist.com) for further information in relation to HA.

Reasons for processing
We (or HA) process the Data about you for the purpose of providing the Services. HA processes the Data to enable us to perform our contract with you and for us to provide the Services. We/HA do not carry out any automatic profiling or decision making in the provision of the Services.

No Disclosures
We/HA do not disclose your information to any third parties other than for the purposes of storage. It may be the case that for the purposes of audits or other regulatory requirements a third party may have access to your data for that limited purpose.

Storage
We/HA will only store your data for as long as is reasonably necessary for us to fulfil our obligations to the Controller in providing the Software.

Rights
You have the right of access, correction, erasure, objection and data portability and the right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to make a complaint to the data protection authority.
